Setting a date

So the latest is my determination to run the race as soon as the conditions allow. I'm not really going to improve my training anymore, between work and the weather, so I figure I might just as well go ahead. The two obstacles are the temps - doing this in the 90's isn't my idea of fun - and the current in the Saco. I can't fight the current upstream with all this rain, so I've either got to wait and hope the current slows down, or find another place to swim. If I go down river a couple of miles, there is a sort of reservoir that I'm assuming won't have nearly the current. I'm heading over there tomorrow to check it out. If conditions work out, I would do the race as early as Monday, June 8th. Right now the weather forecast is for showers, but that is fine, since the temps are suppose to be around 80.
